You Can Tell a Lot About Someone by How They Buy a Car

I know… that probably sounds crazy.

But after helping hundreds of people shop for vehicles, I’ve noticed something.

Some people walk in with a spreadsheet, a calculator, and enough research to write a college paper.

Others walk in and say…

“I just want something reliable that won’t leave me stranded.”

Neither one is wrong.

The funny part? The people who know the least about cars usually apologize for it.

Please don’t.

You shouldn’t have to know how to rebuild an engine to buy a dependable vehicle.

You shouldn’t have to memorize trim levels, APRs, towing capacities, or resale values just to avoid getting taken advantage of.

That’s our job.

A salesperson shouldn’t make you feel small because you don’t know something.

They should explain it.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I got into this business.

I’ve heard too many stories from people who walked into a dealership and felt ignored, pressured, or talked down to.

Whether you’re buying your first car at 18 or your twentieth vehicle at 70…

You deserve respect.

Questions don’t make you look dumb.

Not asking them can cost you thousands.

So if you ever buy from me, ask everything.

Ask why.

Ask how.

Ask what the warranty covers.

Ask why one vehicle costs more than another.

Ask me to explain it five different ways if you need me to.

I’d rather spend an extra hour making sure you understand everything than have you drive home wondering if you made the right decision.

Now I’ve got a question for y’all…

What’s one thing you wish someone would’ve explained before you bought your first vehicle?

Let’s help the next first-time buyer out. Drop your advice below. 👇
