Growing up, I’ve been lucky enough to have grandparents who didn’t just love me—they helped shape the person I’m becoming. When I look at who I am today, I can trace so much of it back to the wisdom, patience, and joy they’ve shared with me over the years. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to express just how grateful I am for that.
My grandparents have always been this steady, comforting presence. Whether it was advice I wasn’t ready to appreciate at the time, stories from their own lives, or the little traditions we’ve built together, every moment has meant something. These are the kinds of memories that stay with you, the ones you carry quietly but proudly as you grow.
And let’s be honest—I’m definitely not perfect. I come home with three tabs open in my brain (and probably a dozen on my laptop), trying to juggle life like it’s an extreme sport. But even on the days when I’m messy, stressed, or figuring things out one mistake at a time, I know I have them to look up to. I know I’m becoming the kind of person they’d be proud of because of the foundation they’ve given me.
I cherish every moment I get to spend with them. I hope they know that I notice the little things, that I’m grateful for the big things, and that even as life pulls me in different directions, they’ll always be one of my strongest sources of inspiration.
So here’s to my grandparents—the ones who’ve taught me more than they’ll ever fully realize. Thank you for helping make me who I am. I’ll always look up to you. ❤️
